Technical Area Sales Manager

One of our longest serving clients are looking for a technical salesperson to oversee a region that includes South London & Southern Home Counties. Candidates being considered will have a proven track record in selling flat roof waterproofing products and systems. My client is happy to consider candidates from other construction sectors with some technical awareness. Focusing on commercial & industrial refurbishment roof projects, targeted customers will include, Contractors, Building Surveyors, Management Practices, Housing associations etc.

Responsibilities would include carrying out roof surveys & condition reports to illustrate failed roofs and advise on the correct alternatives. The successful candidate will be experienced in specification sales in order to understand where and how to prospect for new business to build and manage a specification pipeline they will be responsible for. Must be self-motivated with a 'can do' attitude to utilise their network of previous customers, relationships with local contractors & Local Authorities. A strong & decisive negotiator with good I.T. skills who can work efficiently within the team, updating management on activity levels and project progression.
