Contract Manager

We are delighted to be working with a new client who are a widely recognised and successful specialist contractor based in the Midlands. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Manager who has a background focused on the industrial roofing and cladding sector.

The successful candidate needs to be well rounded with a good understanding of design, installation and commercial matters. Experience in flat roofing systems and rainscreen cladding would be advantageous. Managing an average of 3 to 4 sites with a project value ranging from 1M to 3.5M. Building a good working rapport with client, contractors and key members of the supply chain to ensure there is a good open dialogue throughout the projects. Manage the design process including overseeing the drawing office, attending design meetings, reviewing drawings for potential errors or improvements and managing the submittal/approval process. 

Procure labour and materials, plan resources and allocate to the project as appropriate and attend prestart meetings with clients to discuss project specific issues, such as logistics, health and safety, site rules and programme. Supervise respective Site Managers and Contracts Supervisors who deal with the day to day running of projects. Provide technical and planning input to support tender submissions and oversee all financial aspects of projects including cost control, confirming variations and submitting valuations.

A confident, well rounded Contract Manager who can take charge with an eye for detail and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Managing Director.

In return, a package is ready to be negotiated subject the the candidate and their experience. A company vehicle/allowance, annual bonus and healthcare will be included.
