Estimator (Refurb Sector)
Product Knowledge: Roofing & Cladding
Sales Area / Based: NW London & Home Counties

Salary / Package: Up to 65k
My client is an expanding specialist Roofing & Cladding Contractor who are looking for somebody to join their ever growing team as an Estimator in the refurbishment sector. This role would suit either an experienced Estimator or somebody with roofing and cladding experience in evaluating drawings with good commercial awareness and industry knowledge looking to move into an Estimator role. Salary is dependent on your previous experience.
The role will also consist of working closely with the site management team and ensuring the projects run as per the tender awarded.
The successful applicant will be working full time and based in our Head Office and will be joining our rapidly expanding team to help us continue to grow our business. (Remote working can be considered but attendance at a weekly meeting in the office will be required along with the ability to attend site visits when required.)
Responsibilities of our Estimator
- You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for tenders to specification with a focus on winning business.
- You will work with the commercial department to set clear budgets for all works involved in the project.
- You will work with our design team to ensure all drawings and details are correct and as required for internal needs and as per Main contractor requirements.
- You will work with the project team to make sure all deliverables are being met.
- You will work with procurement department to place orders and provide schedules.
- You will be responsible for dealing with clients, suppliers and our own team to ensure you have the most accurate and up to date information to help with preparing your estimates.
Skills required
- Experience in the Roofing, Cladding and Facade industry is essential.
- There will be some requirement to visit sites around the UK so a driving licence is required.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- You will need to be able to understand technical drawings and be IT literate.
